Spacing and Depth Off-set Adjusting - Curtis PC+ HD

Spacing and Depth Off-set Adjusting - Curtis PC+ HD

Postby kwinders » Fri Jun 15, 2018 5:20 pm

I have an old Curtis PC+ HD that works perfectly but the Spacing and Offsets are off from what is displayed. Trace Cuts work perfectly, code cuts look great but not quite deep enough and not quite lined up from tip. I have the instructions for getting in and adjusting the numbers somewhere (not found yet) but if anyone has or knows how to get in to make the adjustment that would be great.
Thanks in advance

Try Google search. I needed instructions for our vending machine and found them in a heartbeat. Just an idea.

Thanks, I've been trying that but no luck. Actually that searching is what led me to this forum and all the discussions about the machines, I thought someone might know.
I'll try to call tech support again, I called last night but they were closed.

SOLVED: Spacing and Depth Off-set Adjusting - Curtis PC+ HD

Postby kwinders » Mon Jun 18, 2018 4:17 pm

I spoke with Curtis/Hillman Group Tech Support, it took a bit to get the Antique info looked up but here are the instructions if it helps anyone else.

Hold Alt + Shift + X + A + S this will get to Diagnostic Menu

With Diag Menu Displayed, Press Alt + C for Spacing, enter your new number, back at the diag menu, Press Alt + D for Depth and enter new number

ESC back to Main Menu, press F9 to verify the Spacing and Depth Offsets are now stored. These numbers should match the numbers on the side of the machine. If they do match but your machine is cutting codes slightly off, you can move the numbers up and down the scale, making test cuts to calibrate to a new setting. I had to do this after taking the cutting head apart and cleaning all the threads and lubing everything for smooth operation.
