WARRANTY CHARGE BACKS

WARRANTY CHARGE BACKS

Postby bigmac » Fri Jun 29, 2018 8:10 pm

We have an engine that WPC is calling back for. We contacted Central Transport on 6/7 and was told they would pick up on 6/12. Long story short they kept not showing up, we kept calling and it was not picked up until this week. We have contacted our rep and done what he told us to do. Now WPC is getting ready to debit us back because we did not return in time. Our rep says its our fault for not returning in a timely manner. Anyone have a contact who could possibly help us?

Happened before to us too. Get your DMA involved and/or Warranty Administrator.
If you have proof with the bill of lading and order #'s for the pickup schedule you will be covered.

We filled that form out and sent it to the DMA about 2 weeks ago. He still couldn't help and says its our fault.

Not much help here, I do know WSC cannot help with shipping problems. This came from WPC bulletin 99-00-89-019:

Q2: I have called Central Transport for a pick up and they did not show up at the scheduled time or came without a lift gate. Will I get an extension?
A2: The WPC understands there are delays out of the control of the Service Agent, we are always willing to work with you as long as every attempt has been made to return the requested part in a timely manner. Should you encounter this situation, please complete Form A (Shipping) and email it to the address noted on the form.

Also, check out Section 4 of the bulletin: Service Agent Requirements.

In the almost 3 years I've been with Toyota, I don't think any return pickup for large warranty parts or engine, tranny or hybrid battery cores has NOT been picked up the same day. And it's all automated. I don't have to call anyone.

GM is such a friggin' pathetic company, they make my stomach churn.
