GM Tire Price Guarantee

How do you handle the tire price guarantee on your DMS? We use CDK Drive. We are showing the sale at a loss on the repair order, when the credit comes in the amount is applied to the cost of sale - supposedly fixing the loss and then showing the appropriate profit.

I charge it out on the RO for the matched price. When I get the credit from GM I put it all to 68700.
You can also figure out the difference for your 24200 account to make 24200 based on the cost of the tire(s) whole; however I just put it all to profit since I am always way over in 24200 for my physical inventory and I get paid off of profit

I bill it out at the price matched price. I don't change the cost. When the credit comes in it all goes to 687.

I do almost the same but instead of 68700 I put the credit to 69000 so it offsets the loss and my tire account shows the true gross profit percentage made over the course of the year.
