We have started receiving our calendar orders:
Muscle cars on 10/24
Classic cars on 10/29
Fingers crossed that all the dates are accurate this time

Got muscle cars here 10/18, classics on 10/25. I haven't noticed any misprints yet. Hell, I'm just happy we actually got all of our order this year.

First year in many, many years we did not order calendars.

REASONS:

Too many issues the last two years.

They cost too much.

Could not apply to parts advertising dollars.

Didn't have enough ad money even if we could have applied.

Some customers thought we should provide as many as they wanted - just another hand-out that is not appreciated any more.

Although I got mine, I do have to agree with Ichabod, on this point. Last year I had a shop come in and take one off our counter, then he says to me as I am walking by the counter. "You have more?" When I told him yes, he said "Can I have another 10 or 20 I like to give them to my customers when they bring their cars in around Christmas!" I couldn't believe it. Suffice to say he got 2 more and that was it!

At least the calendar has your name and number on it. He was sort of advertising for you.

Unless he was doing like I have seen others do, and cut the bottom portion of the calendar off. :?

We order a box of Performance Parts calendars just for the wholesale customers we deliver to. They can have a few each, if needed. The rest are for customers as they wish. We have a fuel station here, so many of our customers have been asking if our calendars are in yet. We make them wait until after the 2nd week of November, at least. Usually, they only take one, some take one of each style. Only a few want more than their fair share, but thankfully, not many.
