Latest email from GM…….

Reference Number: 201811270003
Date: November 27, 2018
Subject: Transportation Change for Referral Shipments from Michigan to Hudson Customers
To: Hudson Admin PDC Served Part Managers
From: GM Customer Care and Aftersales Logistics
Currently, CCA uses team driver transportation to move referrals from Michigan to the Hudson cross dock for delivery via our Dedicated Delivery Service (DDS.) Due to transportation industry conditions we are converting the lanes to solo drivers. You will see an impact of one additional day to receive your referral orders (non-CSO3) from our Michigan plants (Lansing, Flint, Ypsilanti, Pontiac, Willow Run).
This change is effective for orders starting on December 3, 2018.

We have done NOTHING but complain on surveys about how long it takes to get things from the Parts Plants and GM ‘s solution to fix it…………lets add a day to an already long process. BRILLIANT!!!! Whether it’s the 48 to 72 hours they have to just get it out of the building or the delays at the crossdock. I’m in Wisconsin and it takes on average 5 days on items from Michigan.(4 IF YOUR LUCKY AND THERE IS A TAILWIND) If part is ordered on a Thursday or Friday it will be over a week to get. Now it will be even longer. Amazon Prime, 3day select, 2day and overnight shipping on just about anything a person orders online today. Once again we look like idiots telling our customer it will be a week to ten days.
No big deal because with eliminating all these people and cutting down on product line we wont need that many parts…………… right
What a bunch of morons.

I AM IN MICHIGAN(METRO DETROIT) AND IT TAKES US LONGER THAN 5 DAYS. CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY.

CINCINNATI PDC INVITES ME TO A MEETING EVERY YEAR, SO THEY CAN TELL US HOW THEY ARE DOING.
WE DONT CARE HOW MANY LINES YOU PROCESSED. WE DONT CARE HOW MANY MISTAKES YOU HAVE IN WRITING.
I ALWAYS ASK IF THE MANAGERS FROM THE MI CROSSDOCK AND THE MI PDC WILL BE THERE. LAST YEAR KNOW ONE REALLY SHOWED UP.
I GOT INVITED AGAIN THIS YEAR. BEEN THERE AT LEAST 6 TIMES IN 8 YEARS. I TOLD THEM I WAS GOING TO SHOW. I DID NOT SHOW.

MY EXCUSE TO THE PDC LIASON: "SORRY I WAS STUCK AT THE CROSSDOCK". I HEARD SILENCE AFTER THAT.

Lost a really nice order today because all the parts had to come from Flint customer said he could wait a couple of days but a week was insane.

You could offer an ovn order with a blank check because you wont know what the ovn charges will be.

The thought crossed my mind but it would have been cost prohibitive due to size of parts, and also a couple could not be ovn.
