I found it best to find the most logical, process driven person with at least some experience around automotive parts or service, preferably from in house and a tech or writer who wants a new path. Sales staff... eh, they tend to wing too much stuff and not follow procedures. Porters and details can work out too, as long as they have those traits and can retain information (learn quickly.)
