So, they increased the rebate amount this year from $200 to $250 and eliminated the model year requirement. However, you now have to sell $300 in associated parts to go along with the powertrain purchase to be eligible for a rebate. This would be easy on an engine but nearly impossible on a transmission or transfer case. Unless Im missing something and cant find the old rebate.

No, you are not missing anything. When I first saw this I thought that it made no sense. Obviously this offer is useless now, and will not be a selling aid. The old rebate expired 12/31/2018.

I saw this too and e-mailed my DMA to see what he can find out. We just did a trans on a Tahoe and the additional parts were about $250.00, Gotta love that great GM Feeling!!!!

Ok, somebody tell me what I am missing. I am looking at GCUS-9-7047 and the only requirement I see is that all parts be GM. Are yall talking about a different rebate? I have a trans in the shop right now that seems to be eligible for this rebate???????

Wow! I just looked at the rebate form itself and that seems to be the only place the extra $300 is mentioned. That is just wrong!

We too just read the "fine print" and what an absolute joke. What is GM trying to do? Lose what little credibility they have left - just about done.

ITEM #1 FROM THE REBATE FORM:
Purchase a GM Genuine Engine, Transmission or Transfer Case and $300 worth of powertrain related parts
(including fluids) for a Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Saturn or Hummer (excludes
Saab) vehicle and have them installed at a participating Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac Dealer between
January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019.
REQUIREMENT: All parts MUST be GM Genuine or ACDelco parts (e.g. including fluids, engine oil,
transmission fluid, engine mounts, transmission mounts, spark plugs, radiator hoses, fuel filters, antifreeze, oil
filter, etc.) to be eligible for this offer. Aftermarket parts and/or fluids cannot be utilized.

What they don't define and what could be interpreted to kill some rebates: "All parts MUST be GM..."
This could be interpreted to mean any rebate repair order containing ANY non-GM part could be excluded from the rebate.
