Document Scanning

Document Scanning

Postby GMpartsLux » Mon Jan 28, 2019 11:11 pm

I did a quick search and didn't find what I was looking for here. We are finally looking into getting rid of all the paper files for service ro's, car deals and parts tickets. Does anyone know of or have recommendations for a document storage company? If so could you describe it a bit and give a rough price range. Would be nice if the technicians , service writers or whoever else needs access to ro's could do so from their own computers at their work stations. Such as searching by vin, name, or RO number. That way the tech could look at the history of the car easily. Thanks in advance

We scan our own here from a company called Scan123.
You should be able to get everything you need from them typing that into Google.

Not sure on the specifics. We use this site to check scanned history.

We use Reynolds IDM for scanning, it's taken a long time to get to the point of scanning ro's and shredding them though. I think mainly out of fear or trust in the system....
