NON PASE COMPLIANT CHARGE

NON PASE COMPLIANT CHARGE

Now being charged a fee on each invoice for not being PASE compliant. Their fault that we could not get any parts from them. They are doing us just like another group of dirty dogs we hear about everyday :x :x :x :x

Just curious, are you getting charged 1%, 10% or 11% for not being PASE compliant.

We are on the edge and there is nothing we can do about it. If they don't have it we have to do something - and that is the part they don't seem to understand. They don't understand that real people need these cars to do real things. AND they have other choices of vehicles to drive.

That's part of their rules of being/not being compliant

That would be fine, if this was under our control. They need to make adjustments for their mismanagement. From the Pontiac fiasco to the strike, none of it was the dealers fault.

1% per item. $50.00/.50-----$20.23/.20-------etc. Have not earned any return reserve since Dec. 12 either. Did get a RIM return generated this month though and losing it is my greatest concern.

We are in the same boat. 85.11%. Pretty sure it's 1% per line.

We fell off PASE in April and May of this year we were surcharged 1% on every line item, and there were no CSO returns allowed. We also were not able to do a RIM return until were were once again PASE compliant.

Myself and the owner were the only ones that were affected by falling off from PASE as we didn't have that parts profit, and I am the only one that is paid on this account. So guess who lost more $$$$ because of the 1% surcharge ...yuuup...me., all the surcharges we billed back to 687.

One of the main reasons that we had fallen off from PASE was that our sales department started selling an aftermarket 3rd brake light module kit on every new and used car. Pushed us off from PASE the first month that they did this. They had us selling the modules on the RO... non GM part on GM vehicle . Finally convinced our sales manager to just add the cost of the module to the car deal . He was arguing with me about inventorying them, I came back with you can inventory millions of dollars in vehicles but you can't inventory $3000 in 3rd brake light modules. Now he takes care of them. :D .

I don't even know what to think about GM anymore.... I've only been a Chevy parts manager for 4 years, but in that short of time GM has changed their rebate program 3 times. The fact of the matter is that they are not seeing the change they want at the dealer level therefor the program is constantly adjusted to meet a goal on some arbitrary metric. At some point you would think that all the pressure they put on dealers to play the game by their rules would backfire bad enough to make them take a look at how other manufacturers are running their rebate programs. Case in point: I also manage a Toyota parts department that on every level out performs my Chevy department, even though it is a third smaller and the parts have a smaller profit margin. On top of that my facing Toyota PDC stocks 95% of the parts I sell on any given day, and their return program lets me send back parts (based on how they were purchased) in specific time frames for a 100% credit. The restock fees on Toyota parts that are sent back outside the time frame is only 20%. and the best part of Toyotas' Parts program- I GET TO DECIDE WHAT I WANT TO STOCK!!!! which in turn leads to a much higher turn rate on shelf stock. I spend 4 out of every five days managing my GM store because of the risk of falling off of PASE, and for what? It hasn't increased customer satisfaction, inventory turn, ROI, dealer profit, or any measurable metric that I can think of except one; more money for GM...
