SPAC, What it good For? Absolutely nothing!

SPAC, What it good For? Absolutely nothing!

Postby CADLOU » Tue Jan 28, 2020 5:36 pm

I want to rant a bit. Here we are almost into February and we are still having issues that is strike related! GM want us to believe that they are working around the clock to better serve our customers. I don't know about you, this is getting to the point of beyond frustration. I am tired of trying to locate a part to only see a shipment number and no date. Spac can't tell us anything, they are as useful as a bucket with no bottom. While my DM wants to help, there isn't much he can do. I want to scream at someone, and unfortunately I took it out on a SPAC rep. I had a fender on order, it is backordered. Put a spac case on it the day I ordered and it went to Flint! For whatever reason, they decided to put a shipment date on it a week ago, which was the day I ordered it!! This means I cannot just call SPAC and say, "hey found one and can have it sent to me." NO it rode to the facility. The same day. Yet, I don't have it. They can't tell me where it is. They don't even try now. Flint is backed up, you know. For the love of all things good, tell me that one more time. IF one more part that shows shipped and we cannot tell where it is at! hOW DO WE have A part going from Memphis GOto Michigan! Why? It gets lost there it just shows in transit. Then the PART WILL SHOW UP OUT OF NO WHERE, still showing in transit. So tell me how this is the strikes fault? You doing things half assed?

I feel your pain! I currently have three parts that show 001 with shipment numbers but not really shipped and one of them has been sitting with that same status for a week now.

Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one that had a part go from 092 to the Michigan X-dock. I saw one of those last week and thought that I was on drugs.

It looks like SOMEONE at GM would step up and see they have a big problem and help the dealers get parts for their cars that their customers are waiting for. Even if they eventually have to take back parts that take a month or more to show up. But GM would rather thank us for our patience and do nothing to help.

It has become a prerequisite that all parts managers be on drugs or alcoholic.

I received this response today. I don't recall having one worded like that.

We got a email today stating Hudson cross dock was caught up and current, so I faxed them the 5 shipping inquiries that show my parts on the crossdock last week that I still do not have. Nothing but silence since!

we received a letter with our delivery this morning from Hudson that stated the same thing, along with a DLI labeled Yetti tumbler. I'm guessing they know that I need one to mix my cocktails to get through all the BS over the past 4 months!

A new day and the same old problem with new parts. I am getting so frustrated at this. I just sent my DM a message about tracking shipments.
