Used vehicle tires
Used vehicle tires
Does your owner or manager put new tires on used vehicles? I am lucky my dealership always puts new tires on trades that need them. Depending on the year and milage they get different level of tires of corse but always new. If there isnt a matching set, where someone would replace just two at a time. We will buy the matching two so they are a set. I know it helps sales also and makes it that much easier to sell to the customer.
Re: Used vehicle tires
I had a GM that wanted used tires on used cars, especially the expensive 20" tires. I went head to head with him and told him if he wants used crap put on cars he can get it. When the tire blows out due to dry rotting or abuse from before and something bad happens then he can deal with the fallout from the state government! Suffice to say we put the cheapest crap we can find but at least they are new...

This is exactly what went on here. GM was getting used shit off the internet. I told him I want nothing to do with it and will not do the ordering. So now he has a set of the wrong tires sitting in the shop cause he ordered wrong.
Now they're talking about getting used batteries as well since GM batteries are so expensive. Last I looked batteries are higher everywhere....

you can't do that stuff on a CPO, if GM finds out about it they will pull the franchise
