Is there any advantage to order your special orders as a DRO then up grade the back orders VS putting them on a CSO

If you order on a CSO, you have the ability to return them on a CSO return if for some reason the customer is a no-show or they get returned from a shop.. If you order DRO, then you need to use return reserve to send them back. Plus I'm not 100% sure but I believe that DRO orders do not earn return reserve

From Policies and Procedures:

"DRO orders placed via Parts Workbench will NOT earn return reserve and do not qualify for
inventory protection. Please contact your District Manager Aftersales if you need additional
clarification."
"PASE Terms dealers do not earn discounts on CSO orders, but they will earn 1% return reserve."

That seems backwards but there it is.

If they ever turn back on the service lane upgrade, all of your CSO orders that are a service lane parts and aren't in your local PDC will upgrade to a CSO-3. But that's a non factor at this time.

See the parts policy and procedure manual page 34 that should explain what you are looking for. Rim-Dro will get you 1% return reserve 100% inv. protection. Cso will get you 1% return reserve along with the option to send it back for 35% restock charge. You can make your own choice on which order works best for your dealership. We order cso for customer orders only for the fact we can send it back using the 35% restock charge instead of waiting for my return reserves to get big enough to send shit back.
I hope this helps you.

SLP is turned back on , but oeconnection doesn't show what parts are SLP like they used to. Have to use the global locator to see if SLP or not.
