Permanently excluding parts

Question for the more seasoned Managers.
Does anyone know what happens when you permanently excluded a part 1st on RIM and then later remove it from inventory?
example i have a part with mns of 10 months and mnr of 48 months that i am selling at 50 cents on the dollar but it is a strata A part
but i really dont want it proposed back to me. i cant imagine it counting against you since it never got the chance to be proposed but you
never know with GM and RIM so i figure i'd ask.

Pretty sure it would only count against you if you bought it again after excluding it, not selling what you already have

wont count against you i'm on r&r and anything like that i use tc u and rim wont pick it up i also use that tc for all body shop parts so gm doesn't try and cram all that up my arse

It should not count against you, as long as you keep above the 85% point. My rule of thumb is this. Anything above 85% is helping GM store parts. Yes, they pay you an incentive to stock more, but the way they do their math it is to their advantage. I only exclude 2 or three parts and those are normally chemicals and things that I want hands on. I only bring on what I need and if I need numbers it small stuff with little money involved.

so the trick to RIM is to exclude parts you no longer want to stock before you get rid of them so the system does not even propose it once you do.

i would assume it wouldnt count against you, but then again, GM may decide to change that policy at the drop of the hat, since it favors the dealer lol

i know that, the problem was/is the previous parts manager was re aging the obsolete inventory by doing bogus sales so if it was a strata A part and i sold it using 1 N or just minus it out of inventory before the 12 months GM would send it right back
