19419227 PF 63 issues

Any one else experiencing issues with the rubber gasket on the new PF63. Ever since this new part number change. I have had several filters with where the gasket comes off. I had one yesterday that I gave to a lube tech and I wasn't paying attention. He brought it back with a huge chunk of the rubber gasket completely missing.

Yes,we've also noticed the gaskets aren't seated the best. We recently had a tech not realize the gasket had fallen out of the filter on his walk back to his bay. Car was leaking bad on the way out, but was caught before it left thankfully.

Yes, we have had a few instances of the seal falling off of the filter either when taking them out of the box to put on the shelf or when the tech is taking it to their stall/putting it on certain vehicles.

I haven't received any new 63f filters yet as I am still working off a pallet of 19383806. But I did recently have 2 UPF63RF leak days after installation. we filed a Field Product Report on the CSMT app. An Engine Brand Quality Manager called them back and I shipped them to the WPC.

If you are seriously having issues with oil filters, file a Field Product Report. They will call them back.

Now come on, we just started making oil filters. Wouldn't expect them to be right the first time. LOL

Yes the new pf63s are crap, but apparently so are this generation of lube techs if they don't check their oil filter seals.

These oil filters are installed in blind locations (Acadia/Traverse) so a technician can't necessarily see the seal as its reaching the sealing surface of the engine.

The external rubber sealing ring does not fit tightly into the baseplate, it is actually loose fitting. The seal fell off as I took a new filter out of the box to inspect.

I did also. I included a video. I sent right to the Brand Quality Manager of Smallblock & HFV6 Engines. More people need to complain about this POS filter
