We were getting air filters for a while like that.. then I get this email this morning...
!!HIGH Importance!! Please resolve excessive orders immediately. If unresolved or reoccurring, RIM may NOT be responsible for excess stock.
RIM has ordered part number(s) listed in the attached file, more than two consecutive days. There are several reasons why this may have happened. Please read the information below and follow the instructions for the scenario for your part number.
1. The part has actually sold several days in a row and RIM is functioning correctly. No action needed.
2. If your DSP is ADP/CDK, the part(s) may be on your Delete or Memo status, please look at these parts in your ADP/CDK system. If you are with ADP/CDK you may have access to a report called 'GMSO Exception Report'. This report identifies RIM order lines that are not reflected in the RIM Order that loaded to your DMS. If left unresolved, RIM will reorder these parts again. Please run and work this report daily to prevent parts from ordering excessively. If you are not familiar with this report please contact ADP/CDK for assistance.
3. RIM is repeatedly ordering the part(s) and they are cancelling. Please refer to the cancellation message for possible alternate ordering instructions.
4. You may have prematurely superseded a part or have incorrect supersession information loaded in your DMS. Please ensure your supersession information matches that loaded in the RIM application.
5. Confirm and Cancel all excess orders and back orders with GM and in your in house system. You can access a list of your backorders in Parts Work Bench under the 'Reports and Tools' tab on the far right. The report is called 'View Backorder Report'. You can cancel your backorders from there as well.
