Bulk Oil Question

Bulk Oil Question

Postby Kaju65 » Fri Oct 30, 2020 3:09 pm

Our dept just transitioned from bottle oil to GM bulk. For those of you that are already using it how do you charge it out since it's sold to us in gallons? Is there a part # that you use for quarts?

I bill the same number that I am billed for, but when the oil is receipted into the system I receive quart quantities instead of gallons and divide the cost accordingly. I have my oil numbers flagged in the DMS to not update with the monthly tape.

IF THIS FOR GM. GM WILL YOU REQUIRE YOU TO USE THE BULK NUMBER FOR EXAMPLE DEXOS 5W30 : 19420077
DIVIDE IT BY 4 AND THEN PUT A B AT THE END OF YOUR PART NUMBER. WHEN YOU DO THIS THE PART NUMBER
WILL NOT REJECT FOR YOUR SALES LOYALTY.

19420077B AND THEN COST IT AS A QUART . WE COST IT AT $3.00 . THE EXTRA PENNY JUST HELPS US AT INVENTORY TIME.

SOURCE DEPENDS ON YOUR DMS AND YOUR SETUPS WITH IN THEM.

I HAVE CDK

I HAVE SOURCE 300 GOING TO POSTING ACCT 24400 WHICH WE USE FOR GOG
SOURCE 500 GOES TO POSTING ACCT 24300

SOURCE 101 102 103 104 105 106 107 108 301 400

FOR ME ALL GOES TO POSTING ACCT 24200

HOPE THIS HELPS

We have been using part# 19293000 for 5w30 bulk for years no issue with compliance and never had to add the B at the end of the part number

19293000 was discontinued a couple of years ago but it still works for some reason.
