Re: Q2 2021 ‘We Are Listening’
Just called SPAC to ask why my pre-cut key order cancelled. I thought the bulletin telling us the only key available was a pre-cut and to enter VIN and key code in comments line. The agent called whoever cuts these keys to ask why it cancelled. She told me they said to just enter the key code not the VIN. After a slight pause and a deep breath I asked the SPAC agent that the people who cut these keys could not figure out that the V#### number after the VIN was the key code………….. Is this someone trying to make a statement and feel important or are they just that effin stupid!!! Either way we are friggen doomed and I can’t wait to retire…………..

Literally JUST got off the phone for the same issue! I read the note that said enter VIN and key code...did just that, came in this morning to the cancelled order, called and got the "you shouldn't enter the VIN".CHUCKINPARTS wrote:Just called SPAC to ask why my pre-cut key order cancelled. Someone trying to feel important.. I had the same thing happen last week.. My answerback said invalid keycode, so I figured I'd just send the keycode no VIN. Surprising I got the key in 2 days.CHUCKINPARTS wrote:Just called SPAC to ask why my pre-cut key order cancelled. Re: Q2 2021 ‘We Are Listening’
We had some issues several years ago where we had been putting the vin and the key code both on the order. They let us know to just use the key code and have not had
any issues since.
any issues since.

Re: Q2 2021 ‘We Are Listening’
This stuff is really getting funny……….. All the excuses about how they can’t find help, they have no drivers, trucks or trailers or suppliers is exactly that……..an EXCUSE. I ordered the new 2500 Air Bag and bracket ( 84594241 and 84594242) just how they said. I put the VIN number the comments line. I’ve been checking the last couple days and it says it’s under review. WTF could they possibly be reviewing? My PDC has 750 and 650 of each. When I called SPAC they just danced around blah, blah, blah. I just looked again and guess what…………….. they refer it to 075 Pontiac. Now we can wait 8,9,10,14,20 days to go through the crossdock. I don’t think the problem is not being able to find workers. IT’S THE WORKERS THEY ALREADY HAVE!! AT THE LEAST THE ONES IN CHARGE WHO ARE MAKING THESE DECISIONS. Fire them and start over. Could it be any worse

I want to say "No", but I fear they'd take it as a challenge.....CHUCKINPARTS wrote:Could it be any worse

Re: Q2 2021 ‘We Are Listening’
THIS JUST OUT TODAY...…….
New Ignition Key Service Part for Select GM Pickups and SUVs
In response to ignition key part shortages, GM Customer Care & Aftersales is temporarily making available square head/pre-cut/coded keys as the new service part for the MY2014-18 full size pickup, MY2015-2018 full size SUV (excluding Cadillac) and 2015-2018 Colorado/Canyon. The square head/pre-cut coded keys have new part numbers and replace the previous round head blank keys for these vehicles. These new part numbers are special order only and require the Keycode and VIN when ordering. Special order keys ship within one to two business days direct from the supplier.
Please note – As a result of this temporary change, dealers will not find the round head blank keys for the affected vehicles in the Electronic Parts Catalog.
I wouldn't put the VIN in comments field because when I did that they cancelled the order. I guess they couldn't figure out that the numbers behind the VIN ( that look like key codes) was actually the key code.

Soooo you might have the correct key blank in stock but you won't know because GM removed the listing from the parts catalog.CHUCKINPARTS wrote:THIS JUST OUT TODAY...…….

Yes, The Federal govt. and the current management at all these corporations are from the same mold. Nothing they say will work or be taken serious by the people that have to live and work under their stupidity even though their degrees say they are smarter than the rest of usbsnyder723 wrote:CHUCKINPARTS wrote: Could it be any worse
