PartsOnBackorder wrote:Well to my understanding with this new ecommerce program the customer is getting their core $$ back regardless of how we feel about it . Once they file on the core return site it initiates the credit back to them . We have to then work with GMSPO to try an get our credit back . What i was told is that " I F " there is an issue with the core return (regarding a charge back ) we have to contact our ecommerce representative to be made whole on the credit. So it seems it doesn't matter what the customer does , returns or says they are getting their money back for all returns ( new / core ) regardless of what our own internal policies or decisions are.

That is only for the cores that were shipped to the customer directly.

GCUS-9-12216

If part with core was ship-to-home, then the consumer will ship the core back for refund by going to acdelcocorerefunds[dot]com

If the part was picked up at the dealer, the consumer will return the core to the dealer for refund.
- Route through your normal core return process

How is the billed monthly to the the dealership? I just sent an email discontinuing the program because I am tired of the headaches when things go wrong, backordered, fraud (that gets charged back to us until you address it). I want to make sure I have my ducks in a row before I see my business office to ensure the billing stops. I don't see it through the parts statements?

I am wondering how the GM parts E-Commerce program is working for those on it? My DSM keeps putting the heat on me to enroll because "we are already being charged for it so why not enroll? "I feel that it will be a big PITA to keep track of everything correctly with the accounting office. I missed the online tutorials on the program so I have a lot of questions as to how things work. What happens when we sell a part via E-Commerce with a core charge involved? I just know how hard it is to keep track of the accessories we sell E-Commerce so I really don't want to get involved with more parts and chasing down payments and such.
I would like to know some real world issues that you are seeing if you are on the program. I don't think they are going to back off until we enroll.

We are enrolled. I was selling a ton of E-Commerce Accessories since the program launched (we were #1 in the district a few times); since they changed the program my accessories sales have dropped dramatically and we have literally sold 1 gas cap a few months back.
Not sure if I am just not showing up in the searches the way I was before or if so many other dealers in my district enrolled now that they are taking all of the sales I was getting away; but it has been a big decline for me with no real change to anything non-accessory related yet except that one gas cap which was easy because I had the part in stock.
