Shortages...

Shortages...

Postby GILPARTS » Thu Feb 03, 2022 6:54 pm

Since I just spent half the day filing for shortages, I was wondering how everyone else was doing getting referred parts.
Just how much stuff is sitting on trucks where GM cant even tell me where the truck is.
Seems like every part that was Shipped Direct never shows up. A lot of refers missing as well.
Must've done at least 30+ shortages today, and that's only for parts over 2 weeks short.

We have had so many issues with ship direct items and parts from 075 and 087. Then add in the weather factor that we have faced it is only going to get worse.

Anything out of Michigan we are telling them at least a week on a regular order...sometimes they take 2+ weeks to show up.

Even overnight's can take 2-3 days minimum.

It's tough right now to say the least.

ALL PARTS COMING THROUGH MI CROSSDOCK TO HUDSON PDC…….
ORDERED SHIP RECEIVED
PDC 12/8 1/17
PDC 12/6 1/17
VSD 12/28 2/2
VSD 1/3 2/2
VSD 1/5 2/2
VSD 1/10 2/1
THESE ARE JUST SOME I’M TRACKING. NOT SURE WHO I WOULD SHOW THIS TO OR IF THEY WOULD GIVE A SHIT. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DRIVER SHORTAGES OR NO TRAILERS OR COVID. THIS IS A PROCESS ISSUE!!!!! SOMEONE EXPLAIN HOW A PART CAN COME FROM MI AFTER TWO WEEKS AND I’M STILL WAITING FOR PARTS FROM THE SAME PDC THAT WERE SHIPPED A WEEK BEFORE THEM. NO ORGANIZATION...………...

AFTER SENDING NASTY EMAILS TO DAY&ROSS AND MY REPS AT PDC 007 ABOUT THE STRUGGLES.
THEY CARED MORE ABOUT THE UNPROFFESIONAL EMAIL THAT I SENT THEN THE CONTEXT.

GM DOESNT CARE. GMSPO DOESNT CARE. YOUR REP DOESNT CARE. THEY GET PAID IF THEY DELIVER OR NOT.

ONCE YOU PLACE THE ORDER THEY HAVE THERE MONEY

THEY DONT CARE

IN FACT I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MY DSM MY PDC LIASON AND MY GENERAL MANAGER ABOUT THE EMAIL.
NOBODY ASKED ABOUT MY CONCERNS

Not only GM issues delaying parts, we also get screwed by the Pennyslvania Dept. of Transportation, they start restricting tractor trailers as soon as they expect any sizeable snow. Gotta love that Great GM Feeling!!!!

I spoke to a DPAC agent earlier this week concerning a DEF module that I had ordered coming out of 058 Willow Run. Took about a week and a half to get. She told me to expect anything coming out of a Michigan PDC to wait 7-10 business days. Availability totally sucks at the moment. We are a small store and have probably 20 SPAC cases with no end in sight for most of them. Gotta love that great GM feeling.

Everything coming out of 58,75,76 and now 51 takes at least 2 weeks to get to North Carolina no matter how it is ordered. Often takes 3 or more weeks.
