How do you inventory your 1234yf?
If a full canister is 4500 grams at .15 cents per gram do you have it in your inventory with a quantity of 4500, cost .15 cents The math on this is really a cluster, billing 1 really equals 10.
I'm thinking it would be better to have it showing a full canister as 450 $1.50 each. Just curious how others are handling this.

I have mine set up just like you have mentioned...I receive a cylinder as 450 units at a cost of $1.50 per unit.

I do the same with R134A and the associated oils for each refrigerant (only in ounces, of course).

LIKE EVERY BULK ITEM . OIL, TRANS FLUID, R134 R1234YF A JAR OF DIELECTRIC THAT REQUIRED YOU TO USE 1 JAR FOR 100 CARS.

IF YOU PUT A "B" AT THE END OF THE PART NUMBER GM WILL GIVE YOU CREDIT.

FOR INSTANCE SETUP R1234YF LIKE THIS: 19260234B AND SHOW COST of 1.50 . it never bounces warranty time.

so if you need a lb and convert that to grams it comes out to about 450 grams which would mean you charge out 45 decagrams.

by the way my retail price for 1 decagram is $3.00

same if I have a bulletin that requires 12377900 like 10 cents worth. I set it up as 12377900B. HERE IS THE THING A TECH COMES FOR THE WHOLE JAR I JUST CHARGE THE WHOLE THING OUT TO THE SERVICE DEPT SUPPLY TICKET AND THEN I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE 10 CENTS HERE AND THERE. DOUBLE DIP ITS OK ONCE IN A WHILE

SO WHEN I RUN THE INVENTORY WE ARE NOT COUNTING 1 TANK WE ARE COUNTING 450 GRAMS(450 UNITS)

I ALSO WORK FOR A INVENTORY COMPANY, SO IT HELPS GETTING A UNDERSTANDING WHAT WORKS,SO YOUR INVENTORY IS COUNTED ACCURATELY.

Just tried to order a cylinder of 1234yf and GM changes the quantity to 12. Don't need 12 cylinders but that's what GM changes it to even though when you check on the locator it states minimum quantity is 1. The guy that puts the order in didn't notice that GM changed the quantity to 12. Once it's ordered GM changes the quantity to 10 as the maximum quantity allowed to order. You cannot make this stuff up. Called DPAC and the agent tried to put the order in and got the same result. Asked if he would cancel the order, if I'm gonna order 10 or 12 I'll order QPO. He said to hold on while he got it cancelled.... after about 10 minutes the call was dropped.
