distributer is out of Dexos Ow20

our oil distributer ran out of the bulk 0W20, which now I am out of it, I have pretty much exhausted our local parts stores of any Dexos approved 0W20. any suggestions of what other oils we could possibly use in its place?

Earlier in the year, my distributor was out of Dexos as well. We used their private label oil with Dexos certification to hold us over until they received the GM stuff.

back when 0w20 first came out and it was not available gm said to use mobil 1 pretty expensive alternative, also if you do any research on dexos it is just marketing that gm forced on us dealers the ford motorcraft 0w20 is the same just bill out the gm number for pase, and warranty purposes

Is yours Delco or Mobil 1? I seem to remember a Bulletin awhile back about having a shortage of Mobil 1 Dexos 0w20, so they said use the Delco. Are they out of drums as well? Does your GM Oil Advisor have any other suppliers you can use? I would think it to be in the Advisor's best interest to help you find it.

Now we can't get bulk 5W30

Our oil supplier has run out of bulk Dexos 5W30 and 0W20 a couple of times already this year and they have blamed it on rail car issues! I said that I need you to figure it out so we received their 55 gallon drums to keep us going and then when their drums ran out they gave me the specs on their private label oil and we used that until the bulk Dexos came back into stock for them.

Now we can't get bulk 5W30

We have been out of bulk 5w30 for a week. The Oil Company rolls in about 4:15pm yesterday, gets all set up....shablam!! his pump disintegrates and he is not certain when he can get back to us. Thankfully, we have packaged product, but the tech is tired of this type of bottle opening.

Now, our Rep. says she has been told oil will be in short supply, both bulk & packaged product, for the foreseeable future. Everyone has been depleting the Delco warehouse as well.
