D2D link sales

D2D link sales

Postby fxwgrider80 » Wed Jan 11, 2023 2:23 pm

Just sold a part on D2D link. Invoice is at cost, GM rep says we get reimbursed for the difference. Looked through D2D training and GM messages
and could find nothing about reimbursement. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Why would you sell a part at cost? If it was on a SPAC case, GM pays cost + 15% not to exceed $100 over cost.

It wasn't a SPAC case, this was on D2D link as a sale, just like we buy parts from our ADI.

Should not have sold it at cost, treat it just like a counter sale, was it a local customer or it the part being shipped via UPS, Fed Ex etc.

GCUS-9-13348 Has some links that may be helpful. I clicked on the FAQ link at the bottom of the page then on Processing a D2DLink Sales Order; item #6 shows the seller can change the sales price. I believe GM credits you, but I have not accepted any requests yet. The OEC course contact was Brian Tesch 617.909.3190 brian.tesch at oeconnection dot com

I feel like I've tried changing the price and it was greyed out, maybe that was only on local pickups. I'll have to look at that again next time I have one.

I just did one, I had to bill the part to the dealer as usual, but I put their Invoice# in D2D and clicked "Commit". I was wrong before; GM does not credit you on their statement.

I don't invoice thru D2D. I bill the dealer direct. I think the amount in net buyer cost is what GM uses to calculate the deduction from the buyers $10000 pase allowance.

we have had a couple D2D link transactions that have shown sale price @ cost, but I have not sold @ cost. I contacted the purchasing dealers, and asked what they showed for the sale price, and none were @ cost. I believe that there is a glitch in D2D that needs to be repaired.
