087 Shipping...

Postby Bucko21 » Thu Jun 08, 2023 3:27 pm

Anyone else having issue with 087 shipping fascia's? I can order a fascia on a Monday and it won't ship for 6 days! I am waiting on a fascia right now that was ordered on the 31st and it still hasn't shipped yet... This is pitiful. You can't even tell customers how long a part will take to get anymore! Sorry needed to vent!!

Yes, it's not just you. There used to be a time when a fascia/grille from 087 was 2 days out for me...3 at the most on a rare occasion. Now it's a roll of the dice.

Another issue I have had lately is ship direct parts on FedEx from the Dearborn facility. Label usually gets created the day after the order is placed and then the part will sit for 4-5 days before it ever ships out.

Drink the kool aide and you will understand. See the below email on GM Logistics and PDC status. They show 2 Customer lines pending. How is that even possible? There are so many back orders it is unreal. Glad retirement is in sight.

Supply Chain, Warehousing & Logistics Update – 6.07.23
Subject: Supply Chain, Warehousing & Logistics Update – 6.07.23

As of today, all U.S. PPs, PDCs, and RDCs remain at or near standard levels of service for OVN, CSO, and DRO orders. Other metrics of interest are below:

Current Status
As of 6/06/2023
Customer Lines Pending Shipment 2
Material Trailers at PC/RDC/PDCs 697

The Order Response Time for our referral network is currently 5 days and the percentage of freight delivered to customers within 7 days is 91.9%. The Michigan Cross Dock and the Public Cross Docks are all current in processing referral trailers except for Chicago and Philadelphia which are both ¼ days behind.
The latest PDC and Cross Docks Contact Lists are attached.
We appreciate your patience as we work through current challenges to restore our Supply Chain and Warehouse Distribution to full capability and performance. As with you, our focus remains on satisfying the most critical customer orders in the shortest timeframe possible.

Ordered May 25, shipped from 087 on May 26. Finally arrived today June 8. Lost customer over this one, it was the "last straw" and he just couldn't take it anymore.

I complete understood what he was saying and agreed with him. That just made him more upset. WHAT CAN WE DO? ---- NOTHING --- AFTER ALL THERE ARE ONLY 2 PENDING SHIPMENT LINES.

I guess after all the other problems, now nobody can count beyond the number two...

Just came on the site to see if anyone else having issues with 087. Ordered a fascia on 5-30 and was shipped TODAY. Customer started calling last Friday and here we are. Delivery date is 6-15 to 6-18. What a way to treat us.

I don't even read these BS things anymore, just delete them. :(

If the UAW jerks strike again, I may retire.

Ordered two transmissions from Suburban in Minnesota, they ship out no Fed Ex Freight, no rush, just regular freight. Three business days later they are on my doorstep. Even when there is considerable snow on the ground it might take an extra day.
Ordered two transmissions on a RIM order, still sitting on the dock in Michigan.
It takes me 12 hours to drive to Michigan.
It takes GM 12 business days minimum to ship parts to me.
Every time I hear the same lame excuse, we just cannot find the help.

And this folks is another reason I have had enough. Between GM and Tekion they are making the parts department here very stressful. Hopefully I can still check in on the forum once I retire in August.
