Got this e-mail from our legal counsel at Minnesota Auto Dealers Assn.

Hi

MADA has received several reports from dealers this week who have signed up for a promotional gasoline voucher and advertising program with a company out of Seattle called National Fuels Corporation. The dealers report that customers vouchers are being delayed or ignored and that the National Fuels office has become unreachable by phone.

This morning, we received a FAX from the National Automobile Dealers Association indicating that some vouchers are not being paid. The FAX indicates that the company is currently being investigated by both federal and state authorities.

Also, this morning we were contacted by another state dealers association who advised of a Federal investigation in Wyoming.

MADA suggests that if you are contemplating doing business with National Fuels Corporation or are on their program and continuing to distribute vouchers to your customers, you may wish to hold up until (or perhaps if) National Fuels reestablishes itself.
