Hello All,
I've been part of the GM Parts Catalog Advisory Board for many years now. This Board is made up of members of GM, Snap On and dealership personnel. They are looking for new GM Parts Counterpersons/Managers to become members.
This membership allows you to email members of GM and Snap On with your concerns on specific lookups or generic concerns pertaining to the GM parts catalog. They look for your input on various ideas and you are the first to try the latest updates and offer constructive criticism/ comments before its released.
Every couple months, we meet virtually and discuss the latest in the GM Parts Catalog.
Anyone interested can send me a message with your name, dealer and contact email/phone or ask questions here. I will forward any info you provide to the organizer, and they will contact you to discuss.
Personally speaking, this Board needs new members who are willing to give professional feedback to improve the catalog we all use. I hope to hear from some of you.
Tony

I usually use the link in the catalog: "Contact Us", with decent success. Is this a different or more efficient way of helping out?
Denise, my message to you was stuck in the outbox. I forwarded your info.. Tony

Hi Denise. This is a way to work directly with the people who design, make recommendations, about the catalog. I have read all your posts and I think you would be a great fit for this Board.Denise Trimble wrote:I usually use the link in the catalog: "Contact Us", with decent success. I recommend this. Mopar used to have something close to this program. I would beta test the new catalog, suggest improvements and changes. Sad that it went away and now all we have is a feedback button. I would compare a program like this to going to the selectpersons meetings to voice what goes into a bylaw before it reaches town meeting.

I do email corrections to the catalog every time I see something .

Here is my question. If we put a user note in the catalog does it only apply to our dealership, or does it go "nationwide".

Just got the answer. Nobody else will see your notes but your own dealership people. If 5000 users put a note on the same part, they will NOT look at them. You need to send feedback in the catalog for anyone to look.

Thank you, Jay and Denise for joining and participating in the meeting. I hope you enjoyed and will be back for the next one.
