Any of you guys use this with your service department? Typically X-Time or Update Promise? We are thinking about it but I wanted to ask you all how have you liked it on the parts side of things? Lots of extra work or easy?
This is where RO's are color-coded to let parts know its time to take action on charging something out, ordering, etc...
thank you in advance!

SPG for Parts question
Re: SPG for Parts question
X Time here. Can be a hassle, when a repair is approved it does not always show approved. I am one for the mechanic actually walking to the counter and showing what he needs. But I am old school, came from the days of triplicate.
Re: SPG for Parts question
we use xtime works well IF everyone does it correctly, biggest problem we have is the advisor will approve work, but not send it back to parts so we never see it.
Re: SPG for Parts question
Another quirk with X Time is you have to continually refresh the page, it will show nothing waiting for an estimate, or ready to pick up, refresh the page a few times and volia, there might be a few estimates in the que. It will show on it's own "refreshing", tech support is pointless.

thanks for the answers. One more question- do you have a designated parts person do this or is it everyone in parts responsibilty?

we had Autopoint before switching to PBS. liked it alot better than X-time. lots of room for shop notes and could customize flags for each stage of repair.
