Stock orders

Postby fxwgrider80 » Wed Oct 23, 2024 1:53 pm

To the GM parts managers, how often do your DRO's get held a day at your PDC?
Once a week, month? Where are you located? It seems to happen here at least
twice a month, and we are getting duplicate order the next day on some pieces
since RIM sees zero on hand. Besides extra stock on hand, we are losing a sale, or
having to purchase outside and get penalized on PASE.
Sorry for the rant, getting tired of fixing GM problems and getting shafted trying
to take care of their customers.

We pull out of chicago pdc, and hardly ever have this issue, on a side note rim should not duplicate the order even if it sees zero on hand because it should see orders in process. but glad to say this is one problem I don't have with gm

Yes. I was wondering if Cincinnati was the only PDC with the problem.

Cincinnati here as well.

I have 22 notification emails that have "DRO RIM Held Lines" as the subject for the past year.

Same, and yes it is frustrating.

cincinnati PDC has become a joke . where is Crystal? she must of had some power to keep employees working efficiently. since she left it has been a shit show.
we did have a spell of good service , but because we have had more bad service thats what I rememeber. My stock order for Tuesday was only 9 parts. ( I know we suck over here). they had to hold those.

its either holding parts or not getting them ready quick enough for DAYROSS to pickup so they leave them at the crossdock.

The real kick in the ass from Cincinnati is that it seems once they fall behind, it stays behind until the weekend. Yesterday I didn't get R296...today they shipped R296 but not R297. I'm sure tomorrow will be the same thing...I'll get R297 but not R298.

Where are you located? I am in Northern Michigan and got R297 today. Cincy hasn't been that bad for me, I have more trouble with Day and Ross at times. Although lately I have been getting miss picks from all over GM and even wholesale dealers.
