GM SHOWING STOCK IN GLOBAL BUT PART BACKORDERED

I've been running into this with parts on control. Trans Control valves, trans, engines, etc.

But today I have a windshield 86812858 showing 48 pieces at SD. Two weeks later it hasn't shipped. SPAC agent gave me the blah, blah, blah story about stock incoming and not really there yet, and added a SPAC Case.

What is the deal with GM showing stock on all these parts when stock is not available?

If our PDC shows a "Y" instead of an actual number count, I never promise next day. They have burned us multiple times lately with National Control and Y indicators.

My windshields that showed in stock took 3 months to ship.

Had the same issue. Waited months for a windshield. Was told by DPAC that the source would not transfer individual windshields between Direct Ship facilities. Most likely due to possibility of damaging. Finally got released and the packaging was the best I had ever seen for a windshield.

We've been waiting months for Escalade windshields. My oldest order is from April. Talking to DPAC, they say there's over 900 backorders. Yet they show 20 on hand on PWB+.
