How about GM RIM State Codes for dummies?
0 = Non GM Parts
1 = Parts not eligible for RIM (OK so why/what parts aren't available for RIM)
2 = RIM Parts
3 = Permanently excluded
4 = (What is 4??)
5= (What is 5???)
6= (What is 6???)
7= 10 week excluded parts
8=Purged parts
9= I think this is old legacy parts and maybe some new ones like some special orders?
Anyone have a breakdown for dummies...?

Re: RIMs 101, help
#4 These are parts that RIM was managing but the number of sales events within the last 12 months has dropped below the number required to keep in basket. They are still protected if RIM ordered them but they are in phase out status.
#5 These are parts that RIM was managing but have not had a sale in the last 26 weeks. RIM has proposed a stocking policy of zero. These parts are still protected if RIM ordered. But sales are declining. These parts are turned off in the dealer system.
#6 These are parts the dealer inserted into RIM for RIM management. these parts are not protected by RIM. Dealer should review these parts if RIM management was warranted.
