CDK Drive Phase source criteria

Post by B964 »

New to CDK. Almost zero training.
Where is the function to change phase in/out, days supply etc etc?
When I run a suggested order I get a huge order. Looks like based on demand thou most have really none.
New dealership only two months in so should be no history. Original stock was mirrored from another store but shouldn't be looking at that stores demand history.

Found the phase in and out set up function.

Where CDK is getting demand info still haven't figured out.

Out of thin air.

If you call support they will tell you to batch change all your parts to AP and let them phase back in.

What a great system.

90% of my inventory was already AP. I batch changed to NS. As they should be in my opinion.
These suggested stock orders are showing based on demand of 1. No such demand is real. Ghost memory from other store mirroring seems logical until you think that they couldn't possibly all have a demand of one and even so a demand of one is not enough to cause an order.

Doing the stone and chisel method of reordering parts sold. Write the number down, check other stores qty on hand and invent a BSL.
Where did I put my abacus?

In CDK Drive there is no longer a need to set up individual Phase In/Phase Out criteria. This is now handled through function IRO which allows you to create custom stocking parameters and assign them to one or more sources as business dictates.

The process of changing all on-hand part numbers to AP status is valid and something I taught the ADP trainers many years ago. Unfortunately they did not give you the rest of the procedure so it could not work for you. As the month is about to close your thought of changing to NS will reset items once MNE runs. I would, however, consider running a test stockorder through STK (not IRE) and deleting it immediately.

If you wish help send me a private message and I will contact you.

If you are GM, the factory may be trying to set these guides for your through CDK. Ask CDK customer service when the guides were last changed and by whom.
