19419326 BLOCK HEATER CORD RECALL

Post by Torgy »

Is anyone having any luck getting the block heater cord kit for the Duramax? Mine keep canceling, even though I order CSO with the VIN #. I spoke top SPAC on December 19th and they told me that anything ordered prior to Dec 9th were canceled and that everything from then to current would process. So I spent hours resubmitting orders with the VIN's and now I just checked and they all have canceled. I have been on hold with SPAC for 20 minutes to find our WTF is going on!

Mine cancelled every time I put in an order. I quit trying but they send me some periodically out of the blue. You should know that GM knows best

I was told the same as Torgy. Can't order until the pre-shipment is done. And you all know the answer I got when I asked when that would be....... I finally bought one from another local dealer, who told me he got in trouble the last time he sold one over the counter.

We have a truck we dealer traded for. The previous dealer cut the cord off and the truck did not even have the recall on it. Ive ordered several times and even got one order to upgrade to a SPAC Case. However they all eventually canceled even though our local pdc has 1200 of them.

The best part of this whole particular mess is that GM is notifying the customers of the issue and telling them to come in.

This notification I do not understand. Cords were cut / removed and customers got $100. The field action is closed. Why not wait until parts are readily available to notify customers? Why piss them off?

Okay I can understand the cold weather states, but if they waited nationally then the cold weather states could have more parts.

Maybe just another reason Silverado is now #3 in sales, behind Ford and RAM

There is a dealer 80 miles south of me that is allowed to order the because of their zip code. It must not get that cold in my state. But don't fret, i am sure they will be released in the spring.

Yeah we've been waiting forever for the 11 we have on order yet two dealers near us have 20 plus each available. So now I'm trying to figure out how I can navigate this minefield and get 11 cords for my customers.
