Trying to put a claim in through FedEx for a radiator that they lost.
The claim form is asking for "Declared Value" and of course I don't have that and no one at GM seems to know wtf I'm talking about when I've spoken with the sprint people or invoicing.
Does anyone know if they actually put a value on things when the create a label or do they leave it blank and hope for the best.
Of course this part is almost $300 and if GM leaves that field blank, I believe they cap claims around $100. At least I know UPS does that.
Anyone else dealt with FedEx losing a sprinted part before?

Not completely understanding why you would have to do anything. Once the SPAC case is closed to you, payment from GM should be received.
Would it not simply be a shortage claim filed by the receiving dealer?

GM already charged me back for it - for non-delivery .
Something stupid on the invoice saying they would reverse the charge if we gave them proof of delivery within 10 days.

Wow! Does the tracking info indicate FedEx picked up and lost?

Sure does. Picked up and left the local FedEx depot on 9/18.

Take a screen shot. Then contact your DM and get them involved to settle this matter. As for declared value, I used list and never had a problem getting satisfaction.

Hey ZEP, what was the outcome of your lost fedex package? I just got the same notice and charge back from the general. What a bunch of bs. This was for a $1500 transfer case that fedex i guess lost

Completely ignored by my DM and GM -
On a side, happy dance, note, my last day with GM for my 2nd stint was yesterday. Back to Toyota full time.
For the past almost 3 years, I've been pulling triple duty with Subaru, Chevy and Toyota. Dealerships all sold and I'm going back to just Toyota again.
Hopefully will never have to walk through the door of a GM dealership again as an employee

SORRY ABOUT YOUR LUCK. I SPRINTED A PART A WHILE BACK , GOT PAID BY GM AND THEN FEDEX BROUGHT IT BACK TO ME. AND SINCE IT WAS ON BACKORDER STILL I SPRINTED IT BACK.
