Hey everyone, first time poster but I love this forum. I've learned a lot over the last couple weeks.
I have 8 years exp as a GM parts advisor on tech counter. I've been out of the Industry for about 4 years and I just accepted an offer for Parts Manager at a small Nissan Dealership here in North Carolina using Dealertrac. And unfortunately I have very little knowledge of Dealertrac. I start in a week on Monday the 17th
Could y'all offer any advice for a newbie on Nissan and Dealertrac? Orders, best reports to use and anything else I should focus on from the get go.
Thanks for any info y'all could offer

Nissan and Dealertrack..... The only advice I can offer is find a good therapist.
Re: New Nissan Parts Manager
First of all...congratulations! I have very little experience with Dealertrac and that was a few years ago. I would recommend contacting their dealer support group and inquire on any training programs they may offer. Good luck in your new position.
Re: New Nissan Parts Manager
Nissan from what little i did them not too bad dealer track on the other hand OMG , I don't know what other dms you have used but they are the worse i would suggest to make sure you go through your inventory several times a year to keep up with the retarded thing DT does to it
Re: New Nissan Parts Manager
Oh crap!!! Y'all really got me nervous as hell now. I see a $h!t ton of early early mornings and long late nights ahead of me. I guess the only thing I have going for me is my drive and determination. Parts Manager at a dealership is what I've wanted since my first year working in parts. So one way or the other I'm going to make it happen. Luckily I found this forum and I know y'all are a great group of guys and gals and will help however you can.
Oh And 85% of my experience is with ADP

Welcome to the forum and since you are so concerned I can tell you will do just fine in your new position. It won't be that bad.
