Sometimes I just want to scream.
Against my advise, customer purchased vent visors across the counter and used her reward points to pay. Tried to get her to order online, her niece would have done it for her.
Customer brought vehicle in to the service lane to have vent visors installed. Tahoe
Service writer asked why are we installing vent visors when you already have them on the vehicle?
"Well I do not like that style, wanted the in-channel design"
It gets better.
This is her nieces vehicle, has the stick on outside vent visors, she likes Aunties in channel style, on a Suburban. Spoiled brat.
How in the F@$%^#^$&%# do you refund reward points when parts are purchased across the counter and not online? This is why I insisted with her she order online the first time, it's sooooo much easier.
Called SPAC, after sitting on hold was told to call my return center, Kathy Haines at the Martinsburg warehouse. W-T-F????
Found another phone number, all they want me to do is sign up for their points credit card.
Finally got a hold of someone, they told me to call our BDC
That got me nowhere, they do not have a clue what I am asking about.
Think she saw me scratching my ankle when I was really reaching for my sidearm.
Refund with reward points
Re: Refund with reward points
Got an answer from loyaltysupport AT gm DOT com
We cannot "refund" loyalty points when the customer uses them over the counter. Send in your BAC and part number(s), they will issue credit back to the customer and debit our BARS open account. What a pain in the keister.

Re: Refund with reward points
I absolutely hate the whole GM E-commerce program along with the My rewards BS. I spend so much of my time chasing down payments, refunds, ECOMM invoices from our ADI and all the other non-sense associated with
the whole GM accessories program. It is so hard to keep track of everything and my accounting office is of no help whatsoever so I am beyond frustrated with the whole program just because of going through things like you are dealing with right now. Did I mention that I hate it?

I JUST TELL THEM THAT THERE'S NO REFUND ON POINTS, AND ONLY REFUND WHAT EVER THEY ACTUALLY PAID FOR.
Re: Refund with reward points
For once I actually like this program. We have had a lot of success with it, a few glitches, but overall it works well for us. I have a contact for our area that has helped us with rewards refunds in the past.

Re: Refund with reward points
My eStore rep has been able to help with any refunds, but yeah, the overcomplication of the whole program makes it almost not worth it to try to get rewards points refunded.

Looks like you have to do it same day or call the Dealer Support Team. I can send info to your e-mail if desired!
