Volvo cores/R&R

How do dealers deal with the Volvo core values, as they do not appear on the price tapes. I am interested in knowing how other dealers receive parts numbers with core charges?? We have been ignoring this for years, but the accountants are not happy with this and want them reconciled on a monthly basis. How are others tracking them?

We keep all our cores together in one bin area so we can count monthly. We have a parts and service managers club here in Florida and we have brought the problem with cores to hopefully the people who can fix this problem. I hope to see a fix in the near future.

PS Can you help me with the accessory mark-up question. This is so I can show our Volvo Sales Manager that we are in line with prices.

Here is the solution to your problem.
First go to 2335.
change line 15 (core) to N
second go to 2101 and add core prices in
line 35 (core) for each part with a core.
That will add core prices in inventory.
This will enable you to track cores just like
other manufactures.
