Thumbs up to Chrysler, I'm sure a lot of plastic can be "saved" from this. However, I feel sorry for large wholesalers. They will have to sit on quite a few cores, in large boxes.

Name anything 'Green' and you can get away with anything. DealersEdge Professional Green Forums, neat huh?

The only green Chrysler cares about is the money they are going to deny the rebuilders (about time and rightfully so), and the dealers that are going to get screwed with their oh, so awesome, core program.

Yeah, this Green Core program is great. Monthly, MONTHLY, pickups of cores by a 3rd party source. Sweet, hold on to my core money for 60 days, thank you Chrysler!! I'm glad they were soooo clear on this program and my DM was sooo much help. "I dunno..." Our notification was some dude rolling in the back door telling us he was here to pick up our cores.

I think this has devolved into who can screw the dealers more, Chrysler or GM. I think they have long lunches / weekend getaways to laugh and brainstorm on how to screw us harder..

A friend of mine/sherrifs detective told me several years ago that if he needed to requisite anything from the state or federal gov't for his dep't to do their jobs he just needed to include the words "Homeland Security" & he was in. Chrysler's playing the same word game with different words. I'm all about doing the right thing with this crap that will never biodegrade, but calling it "green" is insulting. It'd be cool if it was authentic but I can't help but feel a twinge of skepticism...
