I've been a GM Parts Manager for over twenty years, and I can say that nothing GM does surprises me either.
But, I am getting real tired of it. Any changes that they've made in the last 20 years have always lowered my gross profit. GM changes in the last 7 years have been the worst. Now they are dictating stocking levels.
When will it end?

Reportedly, as of 5:00 pm est today, 3/7, GMSPO has rescinded the bulletin as regards the minimum package quanitites on the 50 items designated. An administrative message will follow shortly to announce this.
Remains to be seen how they will handle anyone who wants to return the excess inventory that was forced on them.
