We are, applying it to 2004 and later predominantly.

Moderatly successful, tough to push the schedule 2, but we are working on it.

I just want to make sure I understand the issue. Normally (at least according to GM) it is service I, then II, I, II, I, II, I, II and so on. (My understanding - I could be wrong.) But if someone goes like 10k on a service they should have the service II done. So are we talking about getting people to understand they need a service II since they last had a I, or getting people to buy a service II because their driving habits require it?

Actually, the recommendation is what you said Rob, except if the customer is not in a "GM repair facility" within 12 months, the schedule 2 would be used each time. (Think tire rotate.)

The sole reason we are doing it, (I am concerned just like the rest about the lack of visits to a dlrshp), is I seriously doubt GM is going to back off of the OLM system. If it is like their IDL training, whether we like it or not, it is here to stay. I am not one to wait and see, I figured I would make the adjustment before the customers started asking why we dont follow the owners manual.

The schedule 1 basically is a 6k service, that is quite easy to sell. The scedule 2 is significantly more flag time, and we are trying to educate the customers about the overall cost for maintenace being less, or about the same etc.

The jury is still out as to how successful we will be on this.

Does anyone know or have they seen suggested pricing from GM on these services? What is GMPP paying??

I am doing a mass survey of dealersgips now and half the people so far are billing less than .5 for service I
