Let me start with the fact that I work for Reynolds. My main focus is to provide information about what I know, and try to help you folks out the best I can.
parnotte,
If you are on ERA, contact your account manager. They can arrange a demonstration of the tablet for you.
mrbill_E,
I will agree that the motion tablets are the way to go. They provide a cleaner dock/undock process, and are much lighter and more responsive than previous versions used. They also have built-in bluetooth.
With the regards to a few of the comments regarding information input, there are a few things that I have personally found helpful when setting up and using the tablets. First, I typically set up several complaints in the ERA operations screen. This will allow the advisor to enter a "?" mark and get a list of default complaint statements. Additionally, have your folks set-up the user dictionary. I believe under the options tab, you can select "Bias user dictionary" setting. Doing this will allow the handwriting recognition software to pick up on a phrase that you might use more in your store.
You should also consider support when looking at tablet systems. If something goes wrong (hardware, software, integration, or connectivity) who fixes the issue?
I haven't had the opportunity to view the tablets you're speaking about flyboy, but I would like to in the near future.
