Pontiac Vibe Airbag Inflator HELP

Pontiac Vibe Airbag Inflator HELP

Postby possum » Tue Sep 02, 2014 7:49 pm

Recalls 13112 or 14491 specify replacing the inflator and returning immediately to a third party via FedEx HazMat. The istructions included are very specific about the condition of the container/box to use for return, and we need a replacement (the box has been writen on with a permanent marker, right over the UN codes.) I called WPC, no ideas. I called the number listed for Alaska/Hawaii/Territories shipping; left several voice messages. I e-mailed the listed Menlo Worldwide contact and the e-mail came back rejected. Partech told me to call my PDC MR Supervisor, again left a message.

Has anyone been through this?

I ran into this last summer. After numerous attempts to reach the third party for pick up and not receiving a reply, I threw away the part. We still were paid for the claim.

I have thrown some out as well. Even with a pristine box and spending my time packaging the part for return there have been times FEDEX brings the part back to me the next day for no reason so I just throw it in the garbage.
