GM touch up paint

The funny thing about this is that there's not one of us here that wouldn't put this past GM to try and pull. Not really funny but sad, actually.

I did talk to SPAC and they've been getting a lot of calls about that and the labels for SPAC cases not printing correctly.

They did say they are working on the paint issue so I'm guessing it will be fixed

Bulletin board in RIM this morning:

Touch Up Paint Qty 12 Ordered

7/14/15 Orders placed for touch up paint Monday July 13th were incorrectly ordered for a quantity of 12. This error has since been fixed. The source and GM are working together to cancel all affected orders. No orders from these days will be shipped. Please watch your answerbacks for a cancellation message and take appropriate action in your DMS. Thank You. MEA

Well that's a relief, I was about to call it quits on the touch up paint business. Thanks Zep

Thanks here too, Zep.
Between this and the "1200 part numbers that accidentally got moved to Not Yet Available status", I assume the folks at GM must have had a rough weekend. :?

I flew off the handle this morning about this paint deal - even fired off a dfoab issue right after I sent one about an incorrect key code on Global where GM was no help at all.

GM is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with in any form of business. The stupidity just never lets up with these clowns.

Like I posted above, I'm sure not one of us here would put it past GM to do something like this and after the last few years, we can expect, but not accept, shit like this to become reality.

Every single day it's like - what's next?

And their announcement about this paint screw up? Posted on the RIM bulletin board. Why only there? How many phone calls you think SPAC got over this to tie them up? , and us for the 20 minute hold times, because they decided to just post it on a RIM bulletin board instead of a message that we all would see? One thing after another

Zep, very funny you brought up the key code fiasco. I had a code for a Volt that read Z124%. I called Global and they tell me its a valid code. Are you sure?? It has a % in it. Yep we are sure. Mind you, I was talking to a person where English was probably their tertiary language. I called SPAC they in turn called the source and they vehemently denied it was a valid code. So...will one of you asshats find me the correct code? After one week, I finally get a call....we are sorry, we don't have a good code. Tell the customer he needs to have the cylinders redone. Instead, I am buying a blank and will have to send the customer 30 miles away to another dealer so they can trace the key. They have the only machine available. I love GM

I no longer stock paint. It' special order only. Tired of hearing customers complain about the pricing of the new tubes.

Scott, what pisses me off even more about the key code is I ended up getting the correct code from the locksmith and gave it to GM to correct it since they couldn't/wouldn't come up with it and a week later, still haven't updated the system to show it.
They couldn't do their job, I did it for them and it was completely useless. My code was O5L11 and that L was supposed to be a number, not a letter. I gave them the number. You'd think they would be thankful
