I needed some flywheel bolts for a 2013 Spark. They were ordered on 3/1 and a SPAC case was put in. Later on 3/1 a dealer in Oregon said yes and we were waiting for confirmation. On the afternoon of 3/2 this dealer cancelled their shipment. We started all over again early on 3/3 with two searches and me calling to escalate. At 11.49am (his time) the SAME dealer in Oregon answers the SPAC case and confirms it… SPAC case closed….. WTH….. Okay maybe he couldn’t find them and now he did. There should have been time to ship on 3/3 but on Saturday it only showed that a label was created. Well I guess I won’t see them till Tuesday now. You guessed it……… 3/7 it still only shows label created and they still have not shipped! I called the dealer to see whats up. The manager only handles SPAC case and he doesn’t get in till 9:30. I tell them to keep the bolts because the car has to go today. I also asked the counter guys to tell their manager to stay the hell away from SPAC cases because he had me tied up for a friggin week.
I called GM to tell them I was filing a shortage claim and I thought that GM might want to call this dealer. I did this so it would be in my SR number in case anything pops up. The SPAC agent said I could not file a complaint against dealer and GM would not call him because I already called him and told him not to send the parts. WHATEVER …. that seems to be a lame excuse but it is what it is. I just want to know when GM is going to start cracking down on this stuff. We have all seen these dealers just answer yes in OE connection only to later cancel it. I have seen certain dealers names over and over again. This slows the process down and it has got to stop.
I thought later that Maybe GM didn’t send him shipping docs but that still doesn’t get this guy off the hook. If he answers yes to a SPAC case and has no label after 3 days I think he should have called GM.
What the hell is this , doesn’t get in till 9:30………………….
