Throw me a fricken bonus here?

Throw me a fricken bonus here?

Hello everybody. Just curious as to how you all handle pay plans for your service advisors. Our Service Manager is contemplating taking some of our PASE money to add an additional bonus for them  . They are already bonused on Labor Gross Sales and hourly. This all came about after our owner found that we were missing some of the criteria from service that net us some extra $$$. Now naturally, they feel since they have to work for it that they should get some of it. Is anyone else out there doing this? Thank you for any input as it is greatly appreciated!

Not sure how our advisors are paid, but I am sure that all PASE dollars earned are 100% parts department monies.

Service retention is a big one that gets you in. Usually the BDC and the sales department have more to do with that then anyone else. The service writers get enough rewards from GM . they get paid extra on tires, batteries, filters and more. Where in the parts department is our GM Earn power. There is none. In the 90s when i was just a parts counterman, I used to get a ton of rewards. When I became a manager in 2010 I receieved a ton of rewards . I havent seen a single reward since 2012 and its not because the dealer is not signed up.

PASE is just another renamed program that began as a 100% parts program.

If you don't make your PASE numbers, only the parts department pays the price for it with all the penalties GM stuffs up your ass.

Make sure your owner understands that part of it before he takes some of it away from you and awards service with it.

we split it 50/50 parts and service. If by chance we don't hit PASE, 50/50 split on surcharges.

Haven't been with GM for a while now, but don't you also lose your RIM return too ?- Or am I confusing that with another one of their stupid plans to screw the dealers?

yes you do lose your RIM and CSO returns, until you're RIM compliant again.
